Hapan Terminology

  • Hapan was the language developed by residents of the Hapes Cluster due to their isolation from the rest of the galaxy. Due to their limited contact with residents outside the Cluster, Basic was not commonly known to the average Hapan.

    • Chume'legan - lit. "Queen's legion", refers to the Hapan Foreign Legion
    • Chume'nor - lit. Queen's sons, refers to Her Majesty's Select Commandos

    • col'n termi - lit. "school of finishing, a school teaching Hapan's essential skills
    • compete - skills
    • compete'n entretien - lit. "skills of maintainance", broadly referring to what the Hapan male is expected to have to be a good husband and father. May be taught by a kurh'n'ta'a.
