Personality:
Despite his Mandalorian upbringing and a life of constant conflict, Aeetos is a Chaotic Good character. His mother’s positive influence, the friendships he forged, and his steadfast dedication to the essentials of the Mandalorian code has kept him from becoming apathetic and numb to his past experiences. He’ll laugh and mess with those that are close to him, and he’ll make use of gallows humor to lighten a heavy situation. Now with Aayla in his life that steadfast morality and nature will only continue to grow. As a follower he will be loyal provided it’s a cause he believes in, such as Aayla’s work. But he isn’t about critiquing a plan. As a leader he will listen to those around him, but in the end when the decision is his he will take responsibility for it.
At least that’s how things used to be. Traveling 3,000 years into the future leaves a lot of things in question and Aeetos will find himself in a very different galaxy. A lot of what he depended on to keep him walking on that tightrope between getting things done no matter the cost while also keeping to his personal code of honor and morality won’t be there anymore.

Character Bio:
- 3,650 years ago (and some change), Onderon’s jungle moon of Dxun had yet to be entirely claimed by the Dark Side and Aeetos’ earliest memories were of the jungle and Clan Atiniir which inhabited the planet.
- His true parents and heritage unknown, and the “runt” of a child slave cargo shipment, he was adopted by Jules Winters - a Mandalorian mercenary.
- In the dark jungles surrounding the tomb of Freedon Nadd, Jules brought him to her clan on Dxun. He was named Aeetos and soon became Aeetos of Clan Atiniir. In the unforgiving jungle climate of Dxun, much of Aeetos’ childhood was spent learning what it took to be Mandalorian. The skills to fight and to survive against any enemy and under any condition, even against the Mandalorians’ greatest foe: the Jedi. After all it wasn’t the Republic that stopped their conquest 300 years ago, it was Revan and his Jedi.
- As Aeetos came into adulthood and earned his own beskar’gam, he spent less and less time on Dxun and more time offworld doing mercenary work; alongside Jules whom he had come to see as both mentor and mother. As time went on and he became exposed to other cultures and a wide range of planets, Aeetos’ traditional views about Mandalorian society and their place in the galaxy began to change.
- Parting ways with Jules, Aeetos began his own path. Entering a long term agreement with a sect of the Sith on the volcanic world of Aeten 2, Aeetos worked alongside fellow mercs and Dark Side force wielders. He was also introduced to the wonders of drugs and sex, two things that would continue through much of his life. He also managed to get his left arm chewed off by a Sith experiment gone wrong and would need a prosthetic and a lifelong medication regimen, but that’s another story.
- At 25 Aeetos joined the Empire in the Sacking of Coruscant and the raiding of the Jedi Archives; during that raid he took with him a particular datacron that contained an experimental training program. This software contained an advanced learning algorithm meant for the instruction of young Jedi. Instead of a Jedi, the algorithm learned from a Mandalorian and over time it would become the basis of an operating program for an infiltrator droid name that would be called Feather.
- Years passed and new friendships formed, his closest friendship with a powerful force wielder named Icelus. As Aeetos began to grow more and more accustomed to these fallen jedi and the life on Aeten 2, he became a commander of the non-Force Sensitives soldiers of the planet. However when news reached Aeetos that Jules had died, killed while on a job and her beskar’gam had been stripped - he is Mandalorian, there was no question of what he would do. Leaving Aeten he returned to Dxun where the clan cremated her, and afterward swore vengeance to hunt down those who killed her and took her armor as a trophy.
- It took him years but Aeetos, with Feather beside him, tracked down those responsible. Before they died he selfishly tortured them all, even after they gave up the location of Jules’ armor. Such was his rage, and later his regret as he knew it was not what his mother would have wanted. With her beskar’gam recovered, Aeetos returned it to Clan Atiniir. For a month Aeetos tried returning to his childhood life and live amongst them as a traditional Mandalorian, but so much time had passed they felt like strangers to him. When he left Dxun he took on a different name. He became Aeetos Winters, in honor of his mother.
- Returning to Aeten 2 Aeetos Winters was welcomed back with sighs of relief. In a twist of irony, as his views had changed during his time apart so had the views of the Dark Jedi that populated Aeten 2. Disagreements with the Sith over philosophy and further disagreement with the Empire and their purpose inside it, they were slowly turning toward the “greyer” side of the Force - including his friend Icelus. So it was when the group splintered, Aeetos helped lead an exodus of refugees and an odd mixture of grey and dark Jedi off Aeten 2 and a new group was formed amongst a fleet of warships.
- Now in his 30s Aeetos was pushed into the role of Admiral within this new organization, one that swore allegiance to neither the Republic or the Empire. A mixture of Republic sympathizers, Imperial patriots, mercenaries, and as always the light and dark side force practitioners - all on a few capital ships was a recipe for disaster. Yet somehow Aeetos was never doubted or distrusted by either side - something that he attributed largely to his friendship forged with Icelus and others from so many diverse backgrounds. Oftentimes it was the beskar clad Mandalorian with the scattergun who was called in to de-escalate situations. This irony was not lost on Aeetos.
- Battle after battle, campaign after campaign, and the daily life of putting out fires amongst crew and commanding a ship of war took its toll on Aeetos. His reputation helped, but so did his commitment to the resno’lar and his own interpretation of how honor should play a larger part in Mandalorian society. And so when the new Mandalor called on all Mandalorians to assist her in a new war, there was no decision for Aeetos to make. He headed to a battle that would lead him to a twi’lek named Aayla Bril and the end of his tenure with the fleet.
- Fighting beside Mandalorians again, while they were victorious Aeetos was captured by the enemy and placed inside one of the galaxy’s most secure prisons. But his loyal droid Feather was not about to let that stop her, and neither would Aayla who had been hired on to extract him by a mysterious employer Aayla knew next to nothing about.
- Working together the pair infiltrated the prison and with the assistance of a prison riot, Aeetos managed to secure himself an “early release.” Set to return to the fleet it was then he learned from Feather that the Empire had caught up with the Fleet that had been his home for so many years. With Mandalor’s call to arms complete, Aeetos found himself without a purpose - so Aayla offered him one. She had her own mission, freeing slaves and helping those in need and a little extra muscle from a veteran Mando and his loyal infiltrator droid would go a long way.
- The trio made for an odd pairing, but it worked and Aeetos felt good about what he was doing. Then there was Aayla. Despite their age difference (he in his late 40s and her in her early 30s) the pair grew closer. They were doing good work, work that needed to be done in a galaxy nearing the tipping point of war yet again.
