MURIEL KESTRA Y'AR

MURIEL KESTRA Y'AR

"Everyone dies. I only chose the time and the place, for a few."
―Darth Xun (meaning "Swift")

Appearance
Veiled serenity masking the thorn presence of a killer, she remains stoic in all circumstances. None have pierced her calm facade except her wanton victims, and they never live to tell the tale. Silent and watchful, this masked flower will hide her secrets while penetrating yours as easily as an arrow to the heart. Still waters run deep, and her cunning and evil methods are not to be taken lightly. Death approaches her, surrounds her and finally surrenders to her - all the while the core of her remains untouched.

Always dressed in obsidian-hued, snugly fitting attire, preferably leather and satin, a true indulgence to the touch. Thick and luxurious fiery auburn mane is often captured within an exotic, intricately woven braid; its clandestine, ornamental pins encrusted with arcane jewels. Thin and delicate in appearance, her strength not wanting, she stands a mere 5'6". Her eyes remain downcast often, not from submission, but to protect, as frozen within her bright green orbs, lies an oasis never reached.

A phantom warrior, Muriel carries within a soul of the ancients infused within her from the vile rituals of her procreation and birth. Still, she is the quintessence of royal elegance, maintaining regal demeanor even up until the moment you die by her hand. Commanding the Force with the lethal efficacy of a grand master, she bends all she whims to her charismatic will. An enigma, and perhaps an epiphany to some, the mystery of Müriel Kestra Y'ar is almost as mesmerizing as her prominent beauty.

Luminescent waves of opulent tresses cascade along her back and linger right above her knees. Skin is milky white, bordering on translucent as if pure alabaster. Mesmerizing swirls of malachite gloss and blazing crimson tones mingle to hue lucid orbs; thus hiding the enigma of a soul borne of Fate's Infernal seed and driven by Destiny's beckon call. This umbra wears only the finest attire allowing freedom of movement and precision of control. Gestures of lethal efficacy are always fluid, graceful and each more intoxicating than the last.

Early Life
Born on Onderon to Nereus Vorn and Y'arani Pell. Mother died tragically as she gave birth to her only child. Trained under Vorn in the ways of the Sith until she was 12, at which point she ran away from the despotic rein of her father's grasp and stowed away on board a bounty hunter ship, taking off into vast reaches of space. Any details of her childhood remain undisclosed; various writings collected by Muriel during this time have been recorded in her personal datapad.

Adulthood & Beyond
As much as Muriel hated her father, she also wanted to stay one step ahead of him, at all times. In order to do just that, she would have to attain as much knowledge as possible - in as short a time span, as she could. Always on the run and convinced Vorn was always watching, Muriel became a perpetual space nomad without a permanent place to call home. Using her deceitful, childlike appearance and her immense power in the Force, she was soon able to gain herself a ship outfitted with a limited use cloaking device - and having returned to her homeworld of Onderon, conscripted some of her father's former servants into her own service.

Muriel's travels led her to discover much knowledge previously denied her, including the Forbidden Teachings which she would later use to propagate her essence through time by using other bodies as hosts to her life aura. Having arrived on Korriban, she managed to get herself transport to Nogatan, where she came to find (and subsequently applied to), the Pravus Axiom training academy. Graduating under the tutelage of Actuarius, Muriel has began a new chapter of her life, training as a healer and continuing her studies of darkside (Krath) sorcery. After a successful graduation from the Axiom Academy, Muriel was taken under the wing of Lord Verrin, a Zabrak Sith Lord - as his apprentice. But her unnatural talents with the Force did not go unnoticed thereafter, as she caught the eye of the Academy Commander, Darth Cideon - and was elevated to the rank of Honorary Academy Instructor, with the full rank of Academy Instructor to follow soon after. Even so, she would not cease her studies as a Sith and soon became apprenticed to a powerful Zabrak, Lord Feralis. Under his tutelage, she began to learn the delicate yet ruthless art of war in space.

A Sith Lord in her own right, she could now choose someone to train. Her first apprentice was a Mandalorian named Corey Ne'ta (Black) - in whom she had discovered latent Force sensitivity. Their relationship, although strictly professional at first, had soon turned passionate - resulting in an offspring, a daughter whom she named Mesh'la (Beautiful). Still, all good things must come to an end - and so was the case with her newfound family. As an armada of Rakata breached Nogatan space, Muriel initially fought against the invaders - but believing that her lover had died in battle, decided to flee Nogatan space with her daughter, taking them both to safety. Corey in fact, did not die (was merely presumed dead), and was enraged at Muriel's quick exit. Robbed of his lover and child, he had judged her actions to be dishonorable and disavowed her for the remainder of his natural life.

Meanwhile, Muriel fled to Mandalore, taking her infant daughter with her. She would leave her child there, to be raised by a family of warriors while she herself took off for Cinnagar. It was a city-planet type world, bustling with trade and commerce. Unencumbered and unknown to anyone, Muriel would soon lose herself in it, pursuing her Force studies with renewed zeal.

Once she had mastered Transferring Life Essence, Muriel would then take a new host. And then another... and another. Her circle of life would now be virtually endless and the Krath herself - immortal. For centuries to come, she would continue immersing herself in studies of the Galaxy and that mystical force which bound it all together. At all times, she could feel the presence of her Father, Nereus Vorn - watching and waiting - but she would never once succumb to the temptation of seeking him out, even though her hatred and desire for revenge on him burned brighter than ever.

In the centuries to come, the two would continue their game of cat and mouse, during which time Muriel rose to great prominence as a trader and purveyor of mystical artifacts (not all of them Force related). This little 'side venture' propelled her rise to great affluence - so much so, that she was soon able to begin forming her own 'fleet' or task force known as 'Augur'. With it, she would end up harassing pirates along the most obscure trade routes - amassing new trinkets and thus successfully financing her future endeavors.

Still, Vorn made a point to taunt her with how much of a disappointment she had become. Nothing more than a 'petty thief', as he called her, the Dark Lord continued to follow his daughter's career with fading interest. That she had managed to perfect one of the Force's greatest powers did impress him at first, but afterwards it seemed she was satisfied with mere space highway robberies. It never occurred to him, just how prosperous she had become: richer beyond the dreams of avarice, as some would say.

And to Muriel, it was enough - for now - or was it?

As time passed, Muriel seemed content to continue on a voyage of self discovery. The Galaxy at large was now her home and she felt no nostalgia or allegiance to her homeworld. In later years, she would even befriend a group of Jedi who had managed to evade Palpatine's atrocious Order 66 which essentially decimated the Jedi Order. Together, they would embark on a journey to prevent Vorn from getting his hands on the most powerful Force relic rumored to exist - a legendary artifact of unbelievable power which would make whomever could fully harness its potential - an Omnipotent Being.

Unaware that the pursuit of the Crystal was a ploy by Vorn to ultimately test both her loyalties and abilities, Muriel helped the Jedi drive the Sith Lord away and destroy the Force Crystal. She had even gifted one of the party members with Force sensitivity - by giving up her own midichlorians to live in symbiosis with him. Unofficially, Alonzo was seen as her new apprentice - but only in her own eyes - as the Lorrdian wanted nothing to do with his newfound 'gift' and left her along with the rest of his comrades as they returned to their ship in search of new adventures.

Undeterred, Muriel returned to her flagship at the time, the ISD III, Omega, laying in wait until such time as she may undermine Vorn again. Before that could happen, however, she would help the Jedi escape during the fateful Battle of Agomar which claimed the life of one whom she covertly admired: Serena Andyr Elysar. As the Jedi Knight was brought on board her ship, dying - Muriel secretly acquired some of Serena's DNA - for future use in a plan that was already taking seed, even as the Naboo Jedi lay dying.

After Serena's passing, Muriel remained in orbit of Agomar, her stealth fleet undetectable by Imperial scanners. Once they had gone, she would call upon one of the Jedi's own, Radiant Tide. Together, they would go down to the surface of Agomar, to look for the one thought to be responsible for the destruction of the Jedi's ship and the death of Serena Elysar: Mayim Kress, the former Imperial officer and engineer who had defected to join the Jedi after falling hard for one of them. Adversaries at first, Muriel and Radiant were eventually able to work together to determine that Kress had fled the planet before they could find him. Nonetheless, their failure bonded the two in ways they would have never expected.

As Tide eventually departed for parts unknown, Muriel was once again left to her own devices. Weeks later, to her great surprise, the Sith Lord discovered herself to be pregnant with a male offspring. Another son. Unbeknownst to most, she had already begotten a male child several years ago - but it was a clone, its aging process slowed through Force magic so Muriel could enjoy having a 'child' for as long as possible. The boy's name was Aziz, which in the language of her people meant, 'Beloved'. Now she was about to give birth naturally - a prospect which both thrilled and concerned the Sith Lord.

Her anxiety was well founded, as Vorn decided that he had been patient long enough. To demonstrate just how 'generous' he had been in the past by leaving Muriel to her own devices for centuries, he suddenly appeared on her ship and beat her within an inch of her life before striking at the fetus in her womb (with the Force). The child of Muriel Y'ar and Radiant Tide must not be born, for she had once taken his son - and now he would take theirs.

When Tide returned months later, he would learn the truth from Muriel's own lips. Steadfast in his feelings and beliefs regarding her, the Jedi proposed marriage instead of leaving for good. Much to her own surprise, Muriel accepted his offer and on the eve of her engagement, the two consummated their union once more before Radiant informed her he would not return for a while. He was heading for the Unknown Regions with the other Jedi - to find his friend and comrade, a Wookiee called Shorlofnik. His apparent abduction pointed to a greater evil en large - something Tide could not ignore. Muriel would not hold him back - she knew better - but even as she let Tide go, she was already carrying parts of him within her womb.

In days to come, Muriel would return to Empress Teta system, where she knew Vorn would not follow. There, she would wait to give birth to her twins, while compiling the enigmatic chronicles of her enduring life and times ...
