Helena arrives near the blacksmith shop, having her car parked near it just in case a quick exit makes itself necessary should things go badly in the shop and her true motive and identity is uncovered. As her goal is to remain unremarkable and not attract undesirable attention she decides to avoid any of the flashier clothes that she would normally favour when out among the mortals, deciding to use instead a simple red business dress and shoes with short heels.

She calmly walks over to the entrance of the blacksmith and, after looking around for a second to try to get a idea of what kind of street this was, and therefore what kind of people and atmosphere she could expect to deal with within the shop, she glances over any window, trying to see if the place is open and there are people inside before she tries to open the doorto step inside of the shop.

The Branding Iron was a metalworks shop. It was rather unimpressive (and un-labeled) building of red brick that melted into the street filled with like structures, some bigger - some smaller. There were no bodyguards, no dogs, not even a visible sign for an alarm system installed anywhere around. The premises themselves did not look large, but that was likely a deception.

Most of those inhabiting this part of St. Francis Village were small time business people who lived here for years, generation after generation. Mortals and vampires mixed together in this hodgepodge of dubious existence where Kine were rarely seen around after dark and those that did often did not make it back home alive. It was safe to say that the majority of the human stores were manned by ghouls subservient to their Kindred masters. It put a somewhat more lively spin on an otherwise dank and decrepit neighborhood.

Now that twilight had fallen, Liam had emerged from below stairs to man various tools in the smithing area which seemed to occupy the majority of the floor.

As was his custom, the main door facing the street would be open to potential customers as the Gangrel went about his usual business, intent on fashioning an intricate web of chains and shackles for an unknown (and obviously quirky as well as demanding), client.

Elisa entered the store confidently upon seeing that the door is open, her hands roaming around the doorway as she makes her way past the threshold and, once inside, of the items in display, getting a feel for the place. As she hears the sounds of the smithy working she at first watches from afar before her enchanced eyesights notices the familiar sight of shackles and chains, things that she is personally very familiar with.

Slowly approaches, careful to not disturb him with noise, after all, if there is one thing that she can respect, and even admire, is dedication and passion for one's craft. It also helped that as far as she knew this smithy might be a brujah that would fly into a frenzy the moment he got disturbed. She stood completly still, not unlike a human statue, as she watched and waited for this smithy to either finish his work or engage her.

Chains, shackles, horseshoes, animal traps, were seen tossed about on the floor or propped up against various crates likely containing metal scraps or tools. Liam stood next to the forge, heating up a long, thin piece of metal - reminiscent of a spear, as it was very sharp on one end. If Elisa looked closer, she would have noticed the arrowhead like ending on the tip which was currently being bent to resemble... a hook. The hook was large enough to hang up an adult swine or a cow or even ...a human. He would pause every now and then, closely inspecting his project before resuming his task.

For the time being, Liam seemed not to pay much attention to his guest, merely turning his head briefly in her direction as if that alone was all the acknowledgment she needed. Turning back to his work, he continued to wait patiently until the iron bar once again reached forging-heat temperature, before beginning to bend it, slowly and painstakingly as if it was the center-point of his very existence. Once the hook was completed, the Gangrel submerged it in a barrel of water, producing an upwardly surging cloud of steam. Using the vice, he would hang the hook up on the side of the barrel and set the vice aside.

"Welcome. What can I do for you this evening?"

Stripping off his gloves, he wiped his hands on the thick surface of his leather apron - a reflexive motion that had haunted him since his mortal days. Vampires did not sweat, and yet - Liam did not seem to care. It helped him keep up appearances with his mortal customers at any rate. Now glancing at the slim blonde beneath the rim of his furious thick brows, he tried to recall whether he had come across her before. Nope, not her. Plenty of brunettes, but this was only his second blonde in the last month or so, and this one could be a customer. Waiting for her answer, he crossed his arms and wrinkled his nose, hoping she was actually here to shop and not merely waste his time.

Elisa looked over the rough looking man working over the iron bar, a eyebrow raised at his apperance as she was more used to spending time among those that concerned themselves with looking their best, not that she was expecting anything different of whoever worked here of course, after all, while she is no blacksmith she understands that such a job is one that hardly favours personal hygene and that keeping one's apperance was of little professional benefit.

She stands still for a second at the entrance, waiting until the steam of the boiling water dissipates before she approaches, her hands running over the multitude of objects in display at the shop.

"Hello. I am interested in the products of this store. Are you too busy currently? I do not wish to interrupt your work. If you desire i do not mind waiting until you are finished."

As she speaks her eyes glance over at the iron bar as it takes shape and at the hook like tip. While she has enough experience in 'playing' with meathooks, she does not has enough knowledge about the art of metalsmithing to recognize what a hook such as this one could be used for.

Diverting her attention away from the metal bar she once again focus on the man working on it and starts working on fulfilling the mission that brought her here in the first place by making usage of her Auspex to read his aura.
